An island of warrior women in the Calm Belt, home to the Kuja tribe and their empress, the Pirate Empress Boa Hancock. No men are permitted — Luffy was the first in living memory.
Amazon Lily exists outside the world's rules. Protected by the Calm Belt's Sea Kings (who the Kuja have tamed), the island has remained independent of the World Government for generations. The Kuja believe that strength is beauty, and every woman on the island is a warrior trained from birth. They reproduce by leaving the island periodically, and only ever bring back daughters. Boa Hancock's status as a Shichibukai gave the island additional political protection — until the system was abolished. The island's isolation has created a culture with no frame of reference for men: when Luffy arrived, the Kuja genuinely didn't know what a male human was. Hancock's hatred of men (rooted in her enslavement by the Celestial Dragons) defined the island's law, until Luffy's kindness cracked through decades of justified rage.
A lush jungle island ringed by serpent-shaped rock formations, hidden in the Calm Belt where Sea Kings should make approach impossible. The Kuja village is built into the jungle canopy and cliff faces, with rope bridges connecting platforms between ancient trees. A massive colosseum hosts combat training. The architecture mixes natural materials with warrior aesthetics — bone, stone, and vines. Enormous serpents serve as companions and mounts. The women are uniformly fierce, carrying weapons as naturally as breathing.
