Item from One Piece by Eiichiro Oda
The strongest sword in the world — a Supreme Grade blade and one of only twelve. Wielded by Dracule 'Hawk Eyes' Mihawk, the World's Greatest Swordsman. A black blade forged through combat and Haki over centuries of use.
Yoru is the pinnacle of swordsmanship made physical. One of the twelve Supreme Grade swords (Saijo O Wazamono) — the highest classification — and one of the very few Black Blades in existence. A sword only becomes a Black Blade through sustained infusion of its wielder's Haki over an extraordinary period, meaning Yoru's color is a testament to Mihawk's unmatched mastery. When Mihawk fought Zoro at the Baratie, he initially used a tiny knife — not out of cruelty, but because Yoru against Zoro at that level would have been insulting to the blade. When Mihawk finally drew Yoru against Whitebeard's allies at Marineford, a single swing sent a slicing shockwave across the entire bay. The sword is as much a character as its wielder: patient, overwhelming, and operating on a level most fighters cannot comprehend.
An enormous cruciform broadsword, taller than Mihawk himself. The blade is jet black — a 'Black Blade' (Kokuto), permanently imbued with Haki through countless battles. The cross-guard is ornate gold, the handle wrapped in dark leather. Despite its massive size, Mihawk wields it with one hand and precise, economical movements. He can cut an entire galleon in half from a distance with a casual swing. The blade seems to absorb light around its edges.
