Item from One Piece by Eiichiro Oda
The Sand-Sand Fruit, a Logia granting total control over sand. Crocodile's weapon of choice — capable of dehydrating anything organic on contact, turning lush terrain into desert, and generating devastating sandstorms.
The Suna Suna no Mi made Crocodile one of the most feared pirates in Paradise and the mastermind behind Alabasta's near-destruction. As a Logia, it grants intangibility — Crocodile's body becomes sand itself, immune to physical attacks unless the attacker uses Haki or gets him wet (water causes sand to clump and become vulnerable). The dehydration ability is perhaps its most terrifying aspect: a single touch can drain a human body of all moisture, killing instantly. Crocodile used this power strategically in Alabasta's desert terrain, where sand was everywhere and water was scarce. Luffy eventually defeated him by using his own blood as a liquid to make Crocodile's sand body tangible — one of the most creative fight solutions in the series.
When active, the user's body dissolves into sand — golden particles that reform at will. Crocodile often let attacks pass through him without flinching, his body scattering into sand around the blow and reconstituting instantly. His right hand could drain all moisture from anything it touched — humans, plants, the ground itself — leaving desiccated husks. Sandstorms generated by this fruit can bury entire cities.
