Road Poneglyph

Item from One Piece by Eiichiro Oda

Four blood-red stone tablets, each revealing one coordinate needed to locate Laugh Tale. Indestructible, written in the ancient language only the Kozuki clan (and Nico Robin) can read. Whoever gathers all four finds the One Piece.

The Road Poneglyphs are the key to everything. Four red stones, each containing one coordinate point; combine all four and you can chart a course to Laugh Tale. The Kozuki clan of Wano created the Poneglyphs during the Void Century to preserve the true history that the World Government was erasing — and the Road Poneglyphs specifically preserve the path to Joy Boy's treasure. Their locations have shifted over centuries: one was on Zou (found by the Straw Hats), one was in Big Mom's possession on Whole Cake Island (copied by Brook), one was in Wano (found during the raid), and the fourth's location is the current central mystery. Every major crew is racing to find or steal copies. The World Government has spent 800 years trying to prevent anyone from reading them — which is why Robin, the only living person who can, has been hunted since she was eight years old.

Appearance

Massive cubic stone tablets of deep crimson red — visually distinct from the blue Historical Poneglyphs and grey Instructional Poneglyphs. The ancient text is carved into the stone in the language of the Kozuki clan, unreadable by anyone alive except Nico Robin. Each stone is enormous, requiring significant effort to transport. They are indestructible — no weapon, no Devil Fruit, no force in the known world can damage a Poneglyph.
