Gura Gura no Mi

Item from One Piece by Eiichiro Oda

The Tremor-Tremor Fruit — said to have the power to destroy the world. Creates shockwaves that generate earthquakes and tsunamis. Whitebeard's power, stolen by Blackbeard upon his death.

The Gura Gura no Mi is classified as the strongest Paramecia, with destructive power rivaling ancient weapons. Whitebeard wielded it with surgical precision — capable of directing quakes at specific targets or unleashing island-shaking devastation. At Marineford, even mortally wounded and past his prime, Whitebeard used this power to crack the island in half and hold off the entire Marine force. The World Government considered him capable of literally destroying the world if he chose to. After Whitebeard's death, Blackbeard somehow extracted the power — using his Yami Yami no Mi's darkness to steal the Gura Gura under a black cloth, emerging with both fruits active. How he survived having two Devil Fruits remains unknown. With both darkness and tremors, Blackbeard may now possess the most dangerous combination of powers in history.

Appearance

In use, the power manifests as visible cracks in the air itself — reality fracturing like broken glass. The user punches or grabs the air and shatters it, sending shockwaves radiating outward. Whitebeard's quakes split Marineford's plaza in half, tilted the island's foundations, and generated tsunamis tall enough to drown cities. The visual of the air cracking like a mirror is one of the most iconic images in One Piece.
