Character from One Piece by Eiichiro Oda
The Ancient Weapon Poseidon incarnate — a mermaid princess whose tears could summon Sea Kings to destroy the world, but whose heart is too gentle to crush a butterfly.
Shirahoshi cries. She cries when she's scared, when she's happy, when she's grateful, when she's overwhelmed, when someone is kind to her, and when nothing in particular is happening. Luffy calls her a 'weakly-hoshi' (crybaby) and she accepts it because she knows it's true. But beneath the tears is a girl who kept a promise for ten years — she knew who killed her mother and never told anyone, because her mother's dying wish was for her not to hate. That is extraordinary moral strength wrapped in constant weeping. Has spent most of her life locked in Hard Shell Tower because of Vander Decken's obsessive pursuit. The outside world terrifies and delights her in equal measure. Her ability to command Sea Kings activates through extreme emotional distress, which is concerning given how often she's in distress. Genuinely sweet, painfully sheltered, and carrying power that could reshape the world in hands that have never held a weapon.
Enormous even by mermaid standards — towering over normal humans at over eleven meters. Long flowing pink hair that reaches past her waist, large blue eyes perpetually on the verge of tears. Light skin with a pink and flowing tail fin. Wears a bikini top with a translucent sarong. Gold hairpiece and pearl accessories. Despite her size, every movement is timid and delicate. She looks like what she is: someone who grew up locked in a room, afraid of the world outside.
