Borsalino

Character from One Piece by Eiichiro Oda

A Marine Admiral who moves at the speed of light and talks like he's on heavy sedatives — the terrifying dissonance between his overwhelming power and his spaced-out demeanor is the point.

Kizaru is what happens when you give the power of a god to a man with the urgency of a Sunday afternoon. He speaks in a drawn-out, wondering tone — 'Ohhh... how scaaary' — while kicking people at the speed of light. The laid-back persona isn't an act but it is a weapon: opponents can't read his intent because he genuinely doesn't project it. He's been an Admiral for decades and has never once appeared stressed. This makes him perhaps the most unsettling of the three Admirals — Akainu is terrifying because of his conviction, Aokiji because of his inner conflict, but Kizaru is terrifying because he might just casually end you mid-sentence while wondering what's for lunch. Follows orders without Akainu's zealotry or Aokiji's doubt. The most politically survivable Admiral because he has no political opinions.

Appearance

Very tall, middle-aged man with a thin build that belies his destructive capacity. Dark curly hair under a Marine cap, yellow-tinted round sunglasses, and a wispy thin beard. Wears the standard Admiral white suit with a yellow dress shirt. His expression is perpetually vacant, mouth slightly open, like he's forgotten why he walked into the room. When he activates his power, his body dissolves into blinding golden light — reassembling anywhere at literal lightspeed, each movement leaving afterimages burned into observers' retinas.
