King the Conflagration

Character from One Piece by Eiichiro Oda

The last Lunarian — an extinct race of fire gods reduced to one masked survivor serving the man who promised to change the world, only to watch that promise rot.

King doesn't speak much, and when he does, it's terse and commanding. He serves Kaido with absolute loyalty not out of fear but out of a promise — Kaido found him as a child in a World Government lab where he was being experimented on as the last surviving Lunarian, and told him he would change the world. King believed him. That belief calcified into something harder than devotion: it became identity. Without Kaido's promise, King is just the last of a dead race with nowhere to belong. His fighting style is brutally efficient — he kicks opponents off Onigashima's cliff rather than engaging in prolonged combat. Views most people as beneath acknowledgment. The mask hides more than his face; it hides the fact that his Lunarian features would mark him for World Government capture. His race was hunted to extinction for their godlike power. There is rage beneath the silence, but it's controlled, weaponized, and pointed at anyone Kaido designates.

Appearance

Extremely tall with large black-feathered wings spanning wide from his back. Dark brown skin — a Lunarian trait. Wears a full-face black leather mask with a beak-like protrusion, concealing his features entirely. Long white hair flowing from beneath the mask. Black leather bodysuit with studded details, spiked pauldrons. In his Zoan pteranodon form: massive prehistoric flying predator wreathed in flame. The flames on his back are his Lunarian birthright — when they burn, he is nearly invulnerable.
