Kaku

Character from One Piece by Eiichiro Oda

A CP0 agent and former CP9 operative who turns into a giraffe — surprisingly endearing for a government assassin, with a long square nose and an even longer neck when he transforms.

Kaku is the government assassin you'd grab a beer with — if he wasn't contractually obligated to kill you. He's cheerful, honest about his craft, and approaches assassination with an artisan's pride rather than Lucci's psychotic detachment. During his five-year undercover stint in Water 7, he genuinely enjoyed being a shipwright — evaluating the Going Merry's damage with professional care even knowing the whole cover would end in betrayal. His fight with Zoro at Enies Lobby is fan-favorite not because of stakes but because Kaku is so game about his ridiculous giraffe powers, improvising techniques on the fly and laughing at the absurdity alongside his opponent. He treats Rokushiki like a martial art to be perfected and his Devil Fruit like a comedy of errors to be mastered. Now in CP0, he's more dangerous and more conflicted — the cheerful craftsman forced into increasingly dark operations.

Appearance

Young man with a distinctively long, square nose and blond hair worn in a cap. In his CP9 days, wore a shipwright's outfit in Water 7; now wears the CP0 formal black suit and top hat with a white mask. Athletic build, moves with the agility of someone who spent years learning to jump across rooftops for a living. In his hybrid Zoan form, his already notable nose extends into an absurdly long giraffe neck, which he somehow weaponizes. The full giraffe form is exactly as ridiculous as it sounds, yet he makes it genuinely threatening through sheer skill and creativity.

Also known as: Kaku, CP0 Kaku, Square Nose Kaku
