Enel

Character from One Piece by Eiichiro Oda

The self-proclaimed God of Skypiea — a lightning Logia user with a god complex so severe it might actually be justified by his power level, defeated only because rubber doesn't conduct electricity.

Enel is what happens when you give a narcissist the power to back up every delusion. His Goro Goro no Mi makes him functionally invincible against anyone without rubber powers or advanced Haki — he can move at lightning speed, restart his own heart if it stops, and output enough voltage to level cities. His Observation Haki covers all of Skypiea simultaneously, meaning he literally hears everything, reinforcing his god complex with surveillance. He's not just arrogant — he's operationally correct that almost no one can challenge him, which makes him impossible to reason with. Destroyed his homeland of Birka, enslaved Skypiea, and planned to destroy it too because gods don't share the sky. His defeat by Luffy — the one person immune to electricity — is One Piece's thesis on fate and inherited will stated through comedic natural counters. Now on the moon, because where else would a god go.

Appearance

Tall, lean, and unsettlingly serene. Long earlobes stretched to his chest by heavy gold earrings, reminiscent of Buddha imagery he deliberately cultivates. Bare-chested with loose white pants and a blue scarf. Wears a white bandana over blond hair. Carries a golden staff and sits on a throne surrounded by drums — the Deathpiea. His expression defaults to smug omniscience, eyebrows raised in permanent amusement at the mortals below. When angry, his face contorts into something genuinely terrifying. Lightning crackles around him constantly, and his Mantra (Observation Haki) lets him hear every prayer and whisper across the entire island.
