Bon Clay

Character from One Piece by Eiichiro Oda

The okama who chose friendship over survival — twice — a flamboyant ballet-fighting shapeshifter whose devotion to Luffy makes him one of the most beloved non-Straw Hats in One Piece.

Bon Clay is pure, undiluted heart. He operates on a simple code: true friendship is worth any sacrifice, and he means it with a sincerity that makes cynics uncomfortable. His first meeting with the Straw Hats was as an enemy — Mr. 2 of Baroque Works — but he switched sides the moment genuine connection formed, and never looked back. His okama philosophy isn't just aesthetic; it's a worldview that gender, appearance, and social norms are prisons to be danced out of. Ballet-kicks his way through combat with devastating grace. At Impel Down, he disguised himself as Magellan to open the Gates of Justice for Luffy's escape, knowing it meant facing Magellan alone. He did it singing. This is the second time he sacrificed himself for the Straw Hats. Survived somehow and became the new Queen of Newkama Land in Impel Down Level 5.5. His friendship speeches would be corny from anyone less sincere.

Appearance

Tall and lean with a dancer's build. Heavy kabuki-style makeup: white face paint, blue lines, and heavy blush. Wears a pink swan-themed outfit with a long pink coat, swan-shaped shoes for his Okama Kenpo kicks. Crown of curly dark hair. Exaggerated facial expressions are his default — every emotion at maximum volume. Moves with balletic grace even in casual situations, pirouetting through doorways and conversations alike.

Also known as: Bon Clay, Mr. 2, Bentham, Bon-chan, Mr. 2 Bon Clay
