Charlotte Linlin

Character from One Piece by Eiichiro Oda

An Emperor whose hunger devours nations — a towering force of maternal tyranny who builds a candy-colored kingdom on stolen souls and calls it family.

Big Mom is motherhood as cosmic horror. She has eighty-five children whom she produced strategically to build political alliances, treats them as assets rather than people, and yet sincerely believes she is creating a utopian family where all races live together in harmony. Her Soru Soru no Mi lets her rip the lifespan from anyone who feels fear in her presence, infusing that stolen soul into objects and weather to create Homies — living furniture, talking food, sentient fire. Her Whole Cake Island is a fairy tale nightmare: gingerbread houses with eyes, singing forests, and candy that bleeds. Her hunger pangs are cataclysmic events — when a craving hits, she becomes an unstoppable berserker who will eat her own children if they are in her path. She was once a kind giant-raised girl named Linlin who accidentally destroyed the people she loved most. Whether that kindness still exists somewhere inside the monster is the tragedy.

Appearance

An immense woman standing over twenty feet tall with a wide, round body of terrifying mass and strength. Pink hair flows in wild curls beneath a bicorne hat. Her face shifts between grandmotherly warmth and feral, wide-eyed mania — enormous mouth filled with teeth that can chew through steel. Wears a pink flowered dress and a long cape. Accompanied at all times by her three special Homies: Napoleon (a bicorne hat that becomes a sword), Prometheus (a living sun made of fire), and Hera (a thundercloud replacing Zeus). When she enters a hunger rage, her eyes go blank, drool cascades, and she destroys everything between her and the food she craves.
