Location from Naruto by Masashi Kishimoto
A small island nation impoverished by the shipping magnate Gato's stranglehold on its economy. The site of Team 7's first major mission and Naruto's first real battle.
The Land of Waves arc defined the series' emotional core. A country strangled by a tyrant, a bridge builder's desperate gamble, a boy who became a weapon to protect someone he loved, and a monster who discovered he still had a heart. Zabuza and Haku's deaths here taught Naruto that the ninja world was not a game. The country prospered after Gato's defeat and the bridge's completion.
A small coastal island with fishing villages, wooden houses, and docks. Impoverished — buildings are weathered, people are gaunt. Surrounded by ocean. Morning mist rolls in from the sea. The completed bridge now connects it to the mainland.
