Land of Earth

Location from Naruto by Masashi Kishimoto

Rocky, mountainous nation home to Iwagakure. Rugged terrain of stone plateaus, canyons, and barren highlands breeds stubborn, enduring shinobi.

The Land of Earth is as stubborn as its stone. Its people endure harsh conditions and hold grudges for generations. Iwa's long-standing hostility toward Konoha mirrors the nation's unforgiving landscape. Earth-release techniques are as natural here as breathing, and the nation's military doctrine favors defense and attrition over speed.

Appearance

Barren brown-grey rock formations stretching endlessly. Deep canyons, flat-topped mesas, and stone arches. Little vegetation. Dust and gravel underfoot. The landscape looks ancient and unyielding.
