Location from Naruto by Masashi Kishimoto
Hidden village of the Land of Earth, carved into mountainous stone terrain. Known for earth and lava techniques, historically hostile toward Konoha due to Third Ninja War losses.
Iwagakure holds grudges in stone — their resentment of Konoha, particularly Minato Namikaze who devastated their forces, persisted for decades. Onoki's stubborn leadership reflected the village's nature. Explosion Corps and earth-style specialists make Iwa's military formidable in defensive warfare. The village eventually reconciled with Konoha through the Allied Shinobi Forces.
Stone buildings integrated directly into rocky mountain faces and plateaus. Flat-topped cylindrical structures built from the mountain itself. Everything is brown, grey, and earthen. The landscape is stark, imposing, and fortress-like.
