Minato scattered these kunai across battlefields before engaging, transforming the entire combat zone into his personal teleportation grid. During the Third Ninja War, he gave one to every member of his squad and wiped out fifty Iwagakure ninja by teleporting between the kunai faster than anyone could react. The kunai themselves are effective weapons even without the teleportation — the three-pronged design excels at catching and deflecting other blades. Naruto inherited his father's kunai, and Minato left one with Kushina as a protective measure.
