A crystal necklace made from a unique chakra-reactive mineral, originally belonging to Hashirama Senju. Passed through Tsunade's family and eventually given to Naruto.
This necklace is cursed by grief. Hashirama gave it to his granddaughter Tsunade, who gave it to her brother Nawaki — he died the next day. She gave it to her lover Dan — he died within weeks. When she bet it against Naruto's dream of becoming Hokage, she was betting he would die too. He didn't. The necklace can react to and suppress tailed beast chakra, which is why Yamato used it to help control Naruto's transformations. It was destroyed during Pain's assault on Konoha.
A pale green hexagonal crystal pendant on a simple string. Small enough to fit in a palm but glows faintly with internal light. The crystal is warm to the touch and resonates with strong chakra.
