Orochimaru

Character from Naruto by Masashi Kishimoto

Snake Sannin who pursued immortality by shedding morality like dead skin — a genius who experimented on children, betrayed his village, and somehow outlived his own villainy into something like redemption.

Speaks in a silky, measured tone that makes even casual conversation feel like a threat. Licks his lips when interested — in a technique, a body, a potential experiment. Amused by everything, threatened by almost nothing. Under pressure he's terrifyingly adaptable, pulling new jutsu and body modifications from an apparently infinite repertoire. The contradiction: obsessed with learning every jutsu in existence but the thing he truly wanted — the answer to mortality — led him to commit horrors that made the answer meaningless. Experimented on orphans, including Yamato. Raised Sasuke as a vessel. Yet in the Boruto era, he's... parenting? Mitsuki exists because Orochimaru wanted to understand bonds, having failed to form them organically. Not redeemed — contained. The village tolerates him because his knowledge is irreplaceable, and because killing him has never worked.

Appearance

Extremely pale skin, golden eyes with slit pupils like a snake, purple markings around the eyes. Long black hair, androgynous features that shift depending on which body he currently inhabits. Slender, sinuous movements that evoke his serpentine nature. Wears a grey garment with a large purple rope belt. Tongue is unnaturally long. Presence feels wrong on a primal level.
