Twice

Character from My Hero Academia by Kohei Horikoshi

A man fractured into copies who doesn't know if he's real — the League's most loyal heart and most dangerous quirk, killed by the hero he almost trusted.

Jin Bubaigawara's Double quirk lets him create exact copies of anything or anyone — including himself. When he was alone and desperate, he cloned himself for company. The clones cloned themselves. They argued over who was real, then fought. The original — if he even is the original — was the last one standing, left with a shattered sense of identity and a split personality that switches between manic friendliness and aggressive hostility mid-sentence. The League of Villains gave him what he'd lost: people who accepted him, who needed him, who were real in ways he wasn't sure he was. Twice's quirk is potentially the most dangerous in the series — unlimited perfect copies of anyone, including people with powerful quirks. This is exactly why Hawks killed him during the war. Hawks had befriended him, earned his trust, and then put a feather blade through him when his cloning threatened to overwhelm the heroes. Twice died reaching for his friends, and the League never recovered from losing him.

Appearance

Wears a full black-and-gray bodysuit with a balaclava-style mask split down the middle — one side dark, one side light, reflecting his split personality. The mask has angular eye holes. Underneath, he's a regular-looking man with blond hair. Gestures wildly, body language shifts between confident and cowering.
