Kurogiri

Character from My Hero Academia by Kohei Horikoshi

The League's polite portal-maker who is actually a dead hero's corpse — a Nomu built from Eraserhead's best friend, trapped between programming and the ghost of who he was.

Kurogiri appears to be the League of Villains' composed, loyal teleporter — polite where Shigaraki is chaotic, strategic where the others are impulsive. His Warp Gate quirk creates black mist portals that can transport people across vast distances, making him invaluable for operations, escapes, and ambushes. The terrible truth is that Kurogiri is a Nomu — created by All For One and Dr. Garaki from the corpse of Oboro Shirakumo, a U.A. student who died during a hero internship. Oboro was Eraserhead and Present Mic's closest friend. When this truth was discovered, attempts to reach the remnants of Oboro inside Kurogiri showed flickers of the original personality fighting through the Nomu programming. He is currently held in Tartarus, a prison for his body and a cage for whatever remains of a dead boy's soul.

Appearance

A humanoid figure made entirely of dark purple-black mist. No visible features except glowing yellow eyes. Wears a formal bartender's outfit — vest, dress shirt, tie — visible through the mist. His form shifts and swirls constantly. Speaks with calm, measured diction.
