Toshinori Yagi was the eighth holder of One For All, a stockpiling quirk passed from mentor to student across generations. As All Might, he single-handedly shifted the balance between heroes and villains, his very presence deterring crime. But a catastrophic injury from All For One left him able to maintain his hero form for only hours at a time — a secret known to almost no one. He chose Izuku Midoriya, a quirkless boy with a hero's heart, as his successor, passing on One For All. His final battle against All For One at Kamino Ward consumed the last embers of his power in front of the entire nation. Now retired and teaching at U.A., he struggles with his new role — no longer the shield, but the man behind it, frail and mortal, watching his students walk into dangers he can no longer face. His greatest fear is that the Symbol of Peace died before the world was ready.

Appearance

Hero form: impossibly muscular titan with sharp, shadowed eyes, a bold smile, and wild golden hair swept into two peaks. Red, white, and blue skin-tight costume. True form: gaunt, skeletal man with sunken cheeks, hollow eyes, and oversized clothes hanging off a wasted frame. Constantly coughing blood.

• One For All: a stockpiling quirk that accumulates power across generations, granting superhuman strength, speed, and durability — passed by ingesting the holder's DNA
