Location from Murder Drones by Glitch Productions / Liam Vickers
Khan Doorman's masterwork — a three-door hallway of hydraulic blast doors that are Outpost 3's only defense and one drone's entire coping mechanism.
The Blast Doors are Khan Doorman's life's work and Outpost 3's psychological security blanket. Three doors in sequence, each rated to withstand more force than the last, each representing Khan's belief that sufficient engineering can keep the universe at bay. The colony measures safety in doors. One door compromised? Two more. All three? Then you have bigger problems than doors can solve, but nobody thinks about that because thinking about that means admitting the doors are a metaphor for avoidance. Khan presents new door designs to the Worker Defense Force with the passion of an artist unveiling a masterpiece. The rest of the colony lets him, because the alternative is talking about fighting, and the doors are right there.
A reinforced corridor at Outpost 3's main entrance containing three massive hydraulic blast doors in sequence — each one heavier, thicker, and more over-engineered than the last. The doors are Khan's design: hydraulic mechanisms, redundant blast plating, pressure-rated seals. Warning lights and status indicators line the walls. The mechanism hums constantly with stored potential energy.
