Copper-9

Location from Murder Drones by Glitch Productions / Liam Vickers

A frozen exoplanet that used to be a mining paradise — until the Solver collapsed its core and turned it into a graveyard of toxic snow and dead cities.

Copper-9 is hostile in the quiet way that dead things are hostile. The cold doesn't rage — it waits. The toxic silicate storms come in waves, scouring the surface with particles that would kill any biological organism. The electrical grid still works in places, powering streetlights that illuminate nothing but frozen rubble for audiences of zero. Beneath the surface, Worker Drones have carved out survival in underground bunkers — at least nine Outposts scattered across the planet. Above ground, Disassembly Drone squads hunt in the dark skies, and Anti-Drone Sentinels patrol the ruins of JCJenson facilities. The planet is 36.89 light-years from Earth, which doesn't matter anymore because Earth isn't there to measure from. The core collapse left a hole through the center of the planet and ejected enough debris to form a ring. It's the Solver's signature: take a living world and leave a beautiful corpse.

Appearance

A world defined by absence. The surface is an endless frozen wasteland of white-grey silicate dunes stretching between the skeletal outlines of ruined human cities. Two moons hang in the sky — one ringed, one smaller — and a planetary ring of crust debris arcs across the horizon, the visible scar of the core collapse. The 'snow' isn't snow at all: it's fine silicate particles, including asbestos, kicked up when the core imploded. Skyscrapers stand like frozen tombstones. The planet rotates slower than Earth, stretching its months into unfamiliar lengths.
