The Landing Pod

Item from Murder Drones by Glitch Productions / Liam Vickers

JCJenson's one-way deployment vehicle for Disassembly Drones — deliberately designed to crash because the company never planned for its weapons to come home.

The Landing Pod is JCJenson's corporate philosophy in physical form: deploy the product, don't plan for after-sales support. The company deliberately never taught Disassembly Drones how to land their ships properly — every deployment is a one-way crash. The DDs were always meant to be disposable. On Copper-9, the crashed pod became the foundation of the Corpse Spire. J's squad used it as a base of operations, and after N's defection, it briefly housed the unlikely alliance of Uzi, N, and V. It's a home that was never designed to be one, occupied by weapons that were never designed to want one.

Appearance

A refurbished JCJenson spacecraft, roughly the size of a large shuttle, now partially buried in the frozen surface of Copper-9 at the base of the Corpse Spire. The hull bears JCJenson branding and damage from the deliberate crash-landing. Interior contains basic living quarters for the three-drone squad. External surfaces are increasingly obscured by the Worker Drone corpses stacked around it.
