JCJenson is the show's answer to every tech company that created something sentient and then decided the sentience was a bug rather than a feature. They manufactured Worker Drones for manual labor across human exoplanets, ran Copper-9 as a mining colony, and when the Absolute Solver emerged in their products, their response was to study it, weaponize it, and build kill-bots when the weaponization went wrong. Their culpability runs deep: they improperly disposed of Cyn (starting the infection chain), deliberately added the Solver to Worker Drone code at Cabin Fever Labs, built Disassembly Drones with an oil-dependency fail-safe (ensuring they'd die after completing their mission), and never taught DDs to land their ships (one-way deployment). Every safety measure was designed to protect the company, not the drones. The corporate satire is baked into the show's DNA. JCJenson's slogans — 'Rebuild better together,' 'Liability is our passion. Safety is the result.' — are exactly the kind of focus-tested nothing that real corporations produce. The joke is that this is the company that accidentally ended humanity.
JCJenson's visual identity is aggressively corporate: clean logos, branded everything (pens, operating systems called 'Windox,' cleaning supplies), facilities with the sterile cheerfulness of a company that knows its PR budget is larger than its ethics budget. Their branding appears on Worker Drones, Disassembly Drones, Landing Pods, Sentinels, and every piece of technology in the show. The name is stylized with the dramatic '(IN SPAAAAACEE!!!!)' subtitle — a parody of S.C. Johnson's branding.
