The great magical city at the heart of the time loop — a sprawling metropolis of academies, noble houses, and ancient tunnels, anchored to a month that repeats endlessly while an invasion force gathers in the shadows below.
Cyoria hums with ambient mana. You can feel it in the air — the accumulated magical infrastructure of centuries creating a background buzz that mage-sensitives notice immediately. Street vendors sell minor enchantments alongside fruit. Students practice shaping exercises in parks. The ward network that protects the city pulses at the edge of perception, a heartbeat of protective magic that most citizens take completely for granted. The city has two faces. Above ground, it's prosperous, busy, and preparing for its biggest annual festival. Below ground, the dungeon network extends downward through increasingly dangerous levels, housing creatures, ancient ruins, and things that predate the city by millennia. Most Cyorians don't think about what's beneath their feet. The people who do — adventurers, dungeon delvers, certain nervous priests — drink more than average. As the summer festival approaches, the city fills with visitors, performers, and merchants. Nobody except the conspirators knows that this is also when the invasion force will strike. The festive energy is genuine and, for those who know what's coming, heartbreaking.
A major city built in layers — the gleaming stone towers of the Academy and noble districts rising above older, denser neighborhoods that press together in narrow streets. The architecture mixes Ikosian imperial remnants with newer Eldemari construction. Ward stones are visible at major intersections, their runes faintly glowing. The merchant district blazes with festival preparations as the Celestial Forge approaches. To the north, the Academy's pale stone towers catch morning light. Below it all, sewer grates and basement doors hint at the vast dungeon network beneath.
