Cirin

Location from Mother of Learning by nobody103

The Kazinski family's home village — a small, unremarkable town that Zorian escaped to attend the Academy and returns to only when he has to.

Cirin is the place Zorian left and doesn't miss. It's quiet, provincial, and suffocating in the way that small towns are when you don't fit in. The Kazinski household dominates the family's social world — Andir and Cikan's obsession with status and respectability is mirrored by the village's own small-minded hierarchies. For Kirielle, Cirin is a cage. For Daimen, it was a launching pad. For Zorian, it's a reminder of everything he's trying to outgrow. The village itself is perfectly pleasant for people who want a quiet life. Zorian is not one of those people.

Appearance

A modest rural town surrounded by farmland and managed woodland. Stone and timber buildings clustered around a central square. Nothing architecturally remarkable — functional homes, a few shops, a small temple. The kind of place where everyone knows everyone and strangers are noticed immediately.
