Without it, each loop iteration would be a fresh start with no retained learning. For Zorian and Zach, the Orb represents both a tool and a vulnerability. The memories stored within it are invaluable — but they're also evidence. Anyone who accesses the Orb's contents can learn everything the Controller has experienced across all loop iterations. Its remote location in Koth provides some security, but reaching it within the loop's one-month timeframe requires careful planning.
A crystalline sphere that seems to contain more space inside than its exterior dimensions should allow. Looking into it produces a vertiginous sense of depth — like peering into a well that goes down forever. The surface is warm to the touch and faintly vibrates with contained dimensional magic.
