Tesen is a petty predator in nobleman's clothing. Appointed as Zach's guardian after House Noveda's collapse, he treated the orphaned boy's inheritance as his personal treasury. He embezzled systematically, covered his tracks with bureaucratic complexity, and relied on Zach's youth and isolation to prevent discovery. He's not grand enough to be a true villain — he's a grifter with access to a noble estate, small in his ambitions and thoroughly corrupt in his methods. He treats Zach with performative concern that barely conceals his irritation at the boy's existence.
