An Academy combat magic instructor — a veteran fighter who teaches the practical, violent applications of magic that the theoretical faculty prefers to ignore.

Kyron teaches combat magic the way it actually works: messy, dangerous, and nothing like the controlled demonstrations in textbooks. He's blunt with students, impatient with theoretical objections, and genuinely invested in making sure his students survive real fights rather than pass exams. He has no patience for Academy politics and says so frequently. His classes are popular with students who want to become adventurers or military mages, and avoided by students who prefer their magic clean and academic.

Appearance

Solid and weathered with the scarred, thick-wristed build of a career combat mage. Nothing decorative about him — functional clothing, functional haircut, functional scars. Moves with the economy of someone who has been in enough fights to eliminate all wasted motion.
