The Dragon Lands are hot, dangerous, and deeply unwelcoming to non-dragons. The air tastes like sulfur and heat. Dragons compete through raw physical power — their culture values strength, fire breath, and the size of one's hoard above all else. Kindness is seen as weakness. Ember's rule has begun to shift this culture, but slowly. Dragon society doesn't change overnight, and many dragons still view the pony world with contempt.
