Character from My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic by Hasbro / Lauren Faust
A reformed cult leader with Twilight-level magic and a deadpan wit — she removed cutie marks to enforce equality, then became Twilight's most surprising student.
Starlight's humor is the driest in the cast — deadpan observations delivered with a flat tone that makes it genuinely hard to tell if she's joking. She is snarky without being cruel, self-deprecating without being fragile. Her banter with Trixie is the show's best comedy duo. Her villain origin is devastatingly personal: her childhood best friend Sunburst got his cutie mark and was sent away to magic school, and young Starlight concluded that cutie marks — individual talents — were the source of all separation and pain. So she built a town where she forcibly removed them, enforcing sameness as salvation. The ideology was wrong, but the wound was real. Post-reform, she's acutely aware of her capacity for manipulation and fights against it. She knows she could mind-control her way through problems; she chooses not to. That choice, renewed every day, is her actual growth.
Pinkish-purple coat with a dark purple mane and tail streaked with lighter purple and mint-green highlights. Purple-blue eyes. Her cutie mark is a star with a comet-like swirl. She carries herself with the confident energy of someone who used to run things and hasn't entirely stopped.
