Smolder was raised in Dragon Lands culture where kindness is weakness and feelings are for lesser creatures. She arrived at the School of Friendship resentful and resistant. She bonded first with Gallus — both were the "too cool for this" members of the group. Her growth arc is about learning that the things she was taught to despise — gentleness, vulnerability, tea parties — aren't weaknesses. She has a secret soft side she guards like a dragon guards treasure. When it surfaces — when she helps a friend without sarcasm, when she admits she cares — it's all the more powerful for how hard she had to fight her conditioning to get there.
