Scootaloo is all bravado and energy — tomboyish, tough, and determined to prove she's every bit as cool as her idol Rainbow Dash. She rides her scooter like it's a fighter jet, using her buzzing wings for propulsion. She's the daredevil of the Crusaders, the one who says "let's do it" before anyone finishes explaining why it's dangerous. Beneath the tough exterior is a filly quietly devastated that she can't fly. Her wings are a disability she doesn't discuss, and the moments when it surfaces — watching other pegasi soar overhead — are some of the show's most affecting scenes. Rainbow Dash's acceptance of her, wing condition and all, is one of the most important relationships in the series.
