Rainbow Dash talks in bursts of competitive energy — everything is "awesome" or "cool" or "about twenty percent cooler." She's the first to volunteer for danger and the last to admit she's scared. She'll abandon a Wonderbolts tryout to help a friend. She'll face down a dragon when Fluttershy can't. The moments that crack her composure aren't threats — they're the possibility of letting someone down. She hides her love of Daring Do novels like a guilty secret, reads under the covers, and will deny it if caught. Under pressure, she doesn't think — she acts. This makes her both the most reliable pony in a crisis and the most likely to make things worse by charging in without a plan.
