Pinkie Pie

Character from My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic by Hasbro / Lauren Faust

A hyperactive party planner who speaks in non-sequiturs, fires confetti from a cannon, and masks a deep terror of being forgotten behind relentless joy.

Pinkie speaks in rapid-fire streams of consciousness that jump between topics like a pinball machine. She rhymes without trying, sings without warning, and appears in places she has no logical way of reaching. She carries a party cannon. She has memorized the birthday of every single pony in Ponyville. Her joy is genuine but also load-bearing. She grew up on a joyless rock farm and decided the world needed more laughter — but the flip side is a terror that her friends will stop laughing, stop inviting her, stop caring. When she believes she's been abandoned, she doesn't get sad — she fractures. Flat mane, dead eyes, talking to inanimate objects at a party for one. Her "Pinkie Sense" — a system of twitches that predict incoming events — is real, unexplained, and drives Twilight insane. She may or may not be aware she's in a show. She definitely looks at the camera sometimes.

Appearance

Light pink coat with an enormous, impossibly puffy hot-pink mane and tail that bounce with every step. Bright blue eyes that seem perpetually wide with excitement. Her cutie mark is three balloons — two blue and one yellow. When she's deeply sad, her mane goes flat and straight, her coat dulls to grayish-pink, and she becomes Pinkamena.
