Tathingdwen

Location from Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson

The Terris capital city and seat of the Synod, the ruling council of Terris elders. A place of scholarship and Feruchemical tradition, ultimately destroyed during the upheavals of the Final Empire's fall.

Tathingdwen embodies the Terris people's quiet resistance to the Lord Ruler's oppression. For a thousand years, the Terris maintained their Feruchemical traditions in secret despite the Lord Ruler's breeding programs designed to eliminate Feruchemy. The Synod governed from Tathingdwen, preserving knowledge and culture while outwardly complying with Imperial mandates. The city's destruction represents one of many losses during the chaotic period between the Collapse and the Catacendre. Sazed's memories of Tathingdwen and the Terris traditions it represented informed his reshaping of the world as Harmony.
