Ettmetal is the physical manifestation of Harmony's dual nature — Ruin and Preservation combined in a single, inherently unstable substance. The two powers within it constantly struggle, and contact with water triggers a violent explosive reaction as the balance breaks. In Era 2, ettmetal has been cautiously harnessed as an industrial energy source, powering advanced technology. The Set recognized its potential as a weapon of mass destruction, developing ettmetal-based explosives in Bilming that threatened to devastate entire cities. Ettmetal embodies Harmony's fundamental paradox: the combination of creation and destruction in a single entity, powerful but dangerously unstable.
A silvery metal with a faint bluish sheen, stored in airtight containers away from any moisture. Its surface seems to ripple slightly, as if two forces are constantly in tension within it. Even small amounts radiate a subtle warmth.
