Character from Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson
A shy tin-burning Tineye who burned his metal so fiercely he nearly destroyed his own senses — a boy desperate to prove himself who became the Lord Mistborn and ruler of a new world.
Spook speaks in a thick Eastern street slang that even native skaa struggle to understand — 'Wasing the where of knowing' instead of 'I know where it is.' This speech pattern marks him as an outsider even within the crew. He idolizes Kelsier desperately and feels perpetually inadequate compared to the Mistborn members. His arc in Book 3 is one of dangerous overcompensation: he burns tin so intensely and constantly that he develops flared-tin savantism, his senses becoming superhuman but agonizing. Ruin manipulates his desire for relevance, pushing him toward increasingly reckless heroics in Urteau. Under pressure he acts impulsively, driven by a need to matter. His redemption comes through genuine bravery rather than Allomantic power. After the Catacendre, Sazed makes him Mistborn and he rules as the Lord Mistborn.
Thin and gangly, young, with sharp features. Wraps cloth around his eyes and stuffs wax in his ears to dampen his tin-enhanced senses, which are painfully acute. Wears dark, layered clothing. In later life, carries himself with the quiet authority of a leader who earned his title through suffering.
