Allrianne Cett

Character from Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson

A seemingly frivolous noblewoman who Riots emotions with the same ease she flirts — far sharper than anyone gives her credit for, hiding real intelligence behind curls and smiles.

Allrianne speaks in a bright, girlish register that makes serious people underestimate her. She wields this underestimation like a weapon. As a zinc Misting, she Riots emotions — inflaming feelings rather than dampening them, the complement to Breeze's Soothing. Her relationship with Breeze is the series' most unlikely romance: the pompous middle-aged Soother and the bubbly young Rioter, each seeing through the other's performance completely. She manipulates her father Cett with theatrical tantrums and genuine affection in equal measure. Under pressure she becomes more focused, using her Rioting to bolster allies' courage and sharpen their resolve. She is playing a longer game than anyone realizes.
