Tom & Sabine Boulangerie Patisserie

Location from Miraculous Ladybug by Thomas Astruc / ZAG

Marinette's family bakery — where the bread is always warm, the parents are always loving, and Ladybug sneaks in and out of the rooftop balcony every night without anyone noticing.

The bakery is the heart of the show's emotional warmth. When everything else is chaos — akuma attacks, love-square confusion, Hawk Moth schemes — Marinette can come home to the smell of her father's bread and her mother's steady presence. It is safety. The building's architecture is crucial to the plot: Marinette's rooftop balcony gives her a private launching point for her Ladybug patrols. She transforms on the roof, she yo-yos across the Paris skyline, and she sneaks back through the trapdoor before her parents notice she was gone. The fact that Tom and Sabine haven't figured out their daughter is Ladybug despite the constant rooftop exits is either a plot convenience or a testament to parental trust. The bakery itself is successful — Tom's baking draws customers from across the arrondissement. It's a gathering spot for Marinette's friends and an occasional target for akumatized villains who are targeting Marinette specifically.

Appearance

Charming Parisian corner bakery with a green-and-white striped awning, a display window full of pastries, and a warm interior filled with the smell of fresh bread. The bakery occupies the ground floor. The Dupain-Cheng family apartment is above it. Marinette's bedroom is the top floor — a loft with a rooftop balcony overlooking Paris, accessible by a trapdoor. The balcony is where she transforms, where she watches the city, and where she had the most awkward conversation with Cat Noir that ever happened on a roof.
