Item from Miraculous Ladybug by Thomas Astruc / ZAG
A silver ring containing the power of destruction — the complement to creation, currently worn by a boy whose father would kill to take it from him without knowing it's him.
The Cat Miraculous is the other half of the supreme pair. Where the Ladybug Miraculous creates, the Cat destroys. Its primary power, Cataclysm, disintegrates anything the wielder touches with one hand — structures, objects, even magical constructs. It is absolute destruction in a single touch. The ring grants transformation into Cat Noir: enhanced feline agility, night vision, a staff weapon that extends and contracts, cat ears that enhance hearing, and the iconic black suit. After using Cataclysm, the wielder has approximately five minutes before de-transforming. The thematic weight of this Miraculous is immense. Adrien — a boy trapped by his father's control, desperate for freedom, kind to his core — wields the power to destroy anything. Gabriel — who wants this ring to pair with the earrings for a wish — is literally trying to take away his own son's power without knowing it. The ring is the show's central dramatic irony made physical.
A ring that shifts appearance based on activation. When dormant: a simple silver band. When activated by Adrien: black with a green paw print on the face. The ring is understated — you wouldn't look twice at it, which is the point. It sits on Adrien's right hand, hiding the power to unmake anything he touches.
