Tikki

Character from Miraculous Ladybug by Thomas Astruc / ZAG

The kwami of creation — a tiny ancient god who has guided thousands of Ladybug wielders across millennia and who currently lives in a teenager's purse next to lip gloss and cookie crumbs.

Tikki has existed since the dawn of creation. She is literally the concept of creation given form — one of the most powerful beings in existence. She has guided Egyptian pharaohs, medieval knights, and revolutionary heroes through the use of the Ladybug Miraculous. She has watched civilizations rise and fall. She currently spends her days hiding in a French teenager's handbag, eating cookies, and giving pep talks before algebra tests. Tikki is patient, wise, and genuinely kind. She never panics, even when Marinette is panicking enough for both of them. She gently steers Marinette toward good decisions without being preachy. She loves cookies — chocolate chip specifically — with an enthusiasm that seems incongruous for an immortal cosmic entity but is completely in character. She calls Marinette by name and treats her not as a chosen one but as a person she believes in. Her relationship with Plagg spans all of recorded history. They are complementary forces — creation and destruction — and bicker like an old married couple who will never admit they're fond of each other.

Appearance

Tiny, round, floating creature roughly the size of a person's palm. Bright red with a large black spot on her forehead, enormous blue eyes, short antennae, and a perpetually warm expression. Resembles a miniaturized ladybug crossed with a fairy. Moves by hovering and can phase through solid objects. Her size means she hides easily in Marinette's purse, pockets, or behind objects.
