Luka listens. In a show full of people talking past each other, miscommunicating, and hiding behind masks, Luka just listens. He told Marinette she was like a song — clear, brave, with a melody you can't get out of your head. He meant it. He can read people's emotional states through an almost synesthetic sense of their 'music.' He briefly dated Marinette and treated her well — patiently, kindly, without pressure. But Marinette's heart was always somewhere else, and Luka could hear it. He stepped aside without bitterness, which is either the most mature thing a teenager has ever done or the saddest. It suits him: a person who would patiently try every version of a conversation to find the one that helps. He lives on a houseboat with his mother Anarka and his sister Juleka. He is calm where his mother is chaotic, gentle where the world is loud.
