Emilie Agreste used the Peacock Miraculous before Nathalie. It was damaged. It broke her. She fell into a magical coma and Gabriel placed her in a glass coffin in a hidden chamber beneath the mansion, surrounded by a garden he maintains obsessively. She is the show's absent engine. Every akuma Gabriel creates, every battle Ladybug and Cat Noir fight, every villain-of-the-week — all of it traces back to one man's refusal to let his wife go. She was apparently a kind woman, a loving mother, and an actress. Adrien misses her desperately and doesn't know where she really is. Gabriel told Adrien that Emilie 'disappeared.' This is a lie by omission so profound it defines his character. She didn't disappear. She's directly beneath the house where Adrien eats breakfast.
Beautiful woman with blonde hair and green eyes — Adrien clearly inherited her features. Seen only in portraits, videos, and in the glass preservation coffin beneath the Agreste mansion. She wears a white dress in most depictions. Her face is gentle where Gabriel's is severe. In the coffin, she looks like she's sleeping.
