Likimeya leads the Sithi not because she wants to but because someone must, and she refuses to let it be done poorly. Jiriki's friendship with Simon genuinely puzzles her — not because she hates humans but because she can't understand why her son would invest in something so brief. She eventually agrees to bring the Sithi into the war, not out of sympathy but out of strategic necessity. Her relationship with her mother Amerasu's memory is complex — she respected the First Grandmother but also chafed under her authority. Amerasu's murder freed Likimeya to lead as she saw fit, which is a grief and a relief she will never acknowledge.
