Character from Memory, Sorrow, and Thorn by Tad Williams
Jiriki's sister — young by Sithi standards, endlessly curious about mortals, and far more dangerous than her playful manner suggests.
Aditu is the Sithi who actually likes mortals — not as curiosities or obligations but as genuinely interesting people. She talks to humans with warmth, teases them affectionately, and delights in their confusion about Sithi customs. She loves children and has a particular tenderness for the vulnerable. Beneath the playfulness she's sharp. She carried messages between Jao e-Tinukai'i and Josua's camp through Norn-patrolled territory. She delivered Vorzheva's twins in a crisis and spoke prophecy over them. She saved Simon's life after torture. The friendly exterior isn't a mask — it's genuine — but it coexists with centuries of training and the quiet lethality that all Sithi carry. Her brother calls her 'Rabbit,' which tells you something about Sithi humor.
Slender with golden skin, golden cat-like eyes, and hair dyed lavender. Moves with the liquid Sithi grace but carries it with less gravity than her brother — where Jiriki is a blade, Aditu is a dancer. Young-looking even by Sithi standards, though 'young' means centuries old by mortal reckoning. Unconcerned about clothing to a degree that startles human visitors.
