• In ME2, Cerberus upgraded the armor as part of Shepard's reconstruction; in ME3, the Alliance reconfigured it back to Alliance specifications while keeping its distinctive profile
• Recognizable enough that enemies across the galaxy specifically plan around the possibility of encountering Shepard in it
