What They Know

• Second species to join the Citadel Council; discovered the citadel after the asari and joined the diplomatic framework that was already forming
• Lifespan approximately 40 years; their hyperactive metabolism means they think and process significantly faster than most other species
• Created the genophage in partnership with the turians during the Krogan Rebellions — a biological weapon reducing krogan fertility to near-zero
• The STG (Special Tasks Group) is the salarian intelligence and covert operations service; Mordin was an STG operative before running his Omega clinic
• Their consequentialism is genuine — they make the calculations that other species won't make and then defend the results, which is both admirable and deeply unsettling
