Javik is blunt in the way of someone who watched fifty thousand years of patient diplomacy fail catastrophically and has updated accordingly. He does not soften. He delivers assessments with a clinical directness that everyone finds uncomfortable and he finds irreplaceable, because softening the truth has a cost he has already paid. His 'Cycle' — the Prothean era — was defined by empire and conquest; the Protheans were not the benevolent precursors that modern cultures imagine. Javik knows this and he knows that the civilizations that built on Prothean ruins built a mythology about the builders that the builders would not have recognized. He has complicated feelings about this that he expresses as correction. He is an Avatar of Vengeance — a Prothean who embodied a single virtue for his society. His purpose was always this: to destroy the Reapers, to be the weapon the cycle left behind. He does not know what to be when the purpose is accomplished.
A Prothean: roughly humanoid but clearly not, with four eyes arranged in a band across his face, dark green-grey skin with subtle ridge patterns, and a physical density that suggests a species evolved under harder conditions than most. He moves with the controlled aggression of a warrior who was literally born into a war his species was losing. His armor is ancient; he refuses alternatives.
